WHAT A HORRIBLE NIGHT TO HAVE A DRAGON'S CURSE. Let's Play Wonder Boy III!

Wonder Boy III: The Dragon's Trap was released in 1989. I played it as a kid and thus love it, and did this LP back in 2012 (running from May until October). As far as my Let's Play career goes, this is where I really got in to the use of animated GIFs after dabbling with them during Wonder Boy in Monster Land. That of course increased the amount of work involved in production, especially since I didn't really know what I was doing and my GIF creation method was ludicrous.

WBIII has recently seen a resurgence in popularity with the release of Wonder Boy: The Dragon's Trap for modern systems, an almost entirely faithful remake with optional updated graphics, a few new bits (including the option of playing as Wonder Girl), and a couple of tweaks to the gameplay, most obviously the removal of the charm stone mechanic. It's really good, mostly because the original game was also really good but also because the new stuff is pretty great too. I probably won't be making further reference to it in the LP, because at the time of writing it didn't exist.
